Nemorensis – elite dangerous book review

First things first. I love elite dangerous. I love the concept, I love how they have developed it over time, I love how players can make changes in the game.

I love the ships, the colours, the options to play, the different powers.

In short I love pretty much everything about this game. Even the bits I don’t want to use myself I appreciate.

I bought the books in hardback and after a shaky start with docking is dangerous I decided to read nemorensis.

It’s shite.

one of the worst books i have ever read (and I have read some garbage).

The entire book could have been condensed into a 4 page short story.

It starts off basically as soft porn. Then doesn’t actually get any better. It was clearly written by a single guy, who sits alone in front of his computer, jacking off to war movies while eating microwave dinners.

There is no humour in this book, there are no likeable characters, there is no overarching plot, there is very little of elite dangerous in it that shows through.

In fact I believe it was written as a short story competition for some jazz magazine and transferred to the elite dangerous universe as they were short of publishable material.

It ends as bad as it begins.

Don’t read this drivel.
