Here we have a boxed set of British Mechanised Infantry for the World War III combat game Team Yankee. I grabbed mine to go with my FV432 APCs, but the unit sizes are exactly the same, so the box will work just fine for a Warrior company.

Overview
The box contains enough metal miniatures to make an infantry company consisting of a command squad and two maxed platoons, the only thing that is missing is the optional Milan missile teams (but they’re available separately for peanuts anyway). This is enough to give you the following:
- Company HQ: 1 x SLR Rifle Team
- Infantry Platoon: 4 x GPMG/66mm Team, 3 x Carl Gustav Team, 1 x Mortar Team, 1 x GPMG SF Team
- Infantry Platoon: 4 x GPMG/66mm Team, 3 x Carl Gustav Team, 1 x Mortar Team, 1 x GPMG SF Team
That’s 19 infantry teams, a very respectable total for a NATO army (of course, the Soviets will just look a little confused and wonder where the rest of your troops are, but that’s by the by).

There’s a good selection of model poses here, more than enough to make sure that each stand will look unique. There are a handful of flash lines to be fixed (mostly on helmets and the underside of arms) but overall the cleanup and assembly went really fast.
There are a couple of issues I’d like to point out here. Firstly, the GPMG SF teams: one of these is very tricky to assemble, and none of the bases produced by Battlefront allow the ammo feed from the bearer to connect up to the gun. At this scale it’s unlikely to be really noticed from any distance, and a joining part could probably be made from some old bits of flash or something, but it’s worth noting. The second point is that the mix of figures seems to be a bit off; for example, I got three 2” mortars to be divided between two 2-man bases. There was also a single wonky miscast trooper, but he was additional to the ones needed, so I’m not going to worry about that.

Summary
A great little set and very reasonably priced considering how much is included. While I’d have preferred the figures to be in plastic, the metal really isn’t that much of a problem. Definitely a recommended box for those who want to go mech-heavy in Team Yankee. The only thing I would have liked to see here was the inclusion of unit cards, but it’s certainly not a deal-breaker.
