Well That’s another old pal passed – the worst thing about getting older is when people die.
Tam Laurie I first met, around 2002 when he had been working at a pub in Rose St on the door. He turned out to be pals with a few of the ex-bar staff and regulars from that pub and they all started drinking in the 3 tuns.
Tam was a genuine good guy, who never did anyone a bad turn.

He was quite happy to join in the dress up theme nights we had, (this was Starsky and Hutch apparently with Huggy Bear!), and was always approachable to have a chat with.

He like a pint now and again (Vodka was the weapon of choice) and ended up working as the Assistant Manager at the Illicit Still in Tollcross for me.
He did a great job, but eventually he headed back to the doors.

The last time I met him he was working as a security guard for Harvey Nichols and doing quite well for himself.
It was a pleasure big man.
